Windsong E. Hollis M.D. is a board certified psychiatrist located on Capital Hill in Washington DC. Dr. Hollis provides telepsychiatry services to clients in Washington DC, South Carolina, Colorado and Virginia.

Born in Denver Colorado and raised in DC, she completed her BA at the University of Virginia, MA in Philosophy of Science and History of Medicine from Johns Hopkins University and BS in Molecular Biology from the University of Washington. In 2000 she completed her MD at Tulane University School of Medicine and has been in practice for 23 years. She completed residencies in Psychiatry and Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina and a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at the Oregon Health Sciences University. In training she focused on Palliative Care in Neurology and Geriatrics, electroconvulsive therapy and existential psychotherapy.

Her personal interest in Geriatric Psychiatry was influenced in part by a grandmother who inspired the belief that aging should not entail a loss of vitality or wonder. She has been a clinical instructor supervising medical students and residents training in psychiatry, neurology and geriatrics and continues to enjoy treating college students. She has trained staff at skilled nursing facilities on the topics of dementia care and suicide prevention. In addition to her private practice, she has extensive experience in community clinics, psychiatric hospitals, medical and surgical units, emergency rooms and mobile crisis team interventions. She offers telepsychiatry services for medication management and therapy.
