Fees and Policies:
Appointments are provided virtually via videoconference and telephone. Clients must be physically located in Virginia, DC, South Carolina or Colorado for session to proceed. Clients receive intividualized treatment plans that may include a combination of psychotherapy, medication management, cognitive assessment and psychoeducation.
Fees for appointments are time based and cost $325.00 per hour, prorated. Payment for treatment is expected at the time of appointment and cancellations under 48 hour notice are charged a $100.00 fee.
Initial Evaluation:
An initial evaluation entails a comprehensive review of current symptoms, medical history and review of medications in addition to social and family history. This process is facilitated by any medical or psychiatric records from current providers. Discussion of diagnosis and treatment options (including medication) would follow. When indicated, and with patient's consent, care planning may be coordinated with other treatment providers and family or other support. She uses a patient centered focus to foster autonomy and informed decision making.
Assessments typically last 60 - 90 minutes
Follow-up appointments:
Typically 30-50 minute sessions combine psychotherapy and management of medications. Special attention is made to measured progress towards unique goals and regular monitoring of medication benefits and tolerability. Continued cognitive assessment and caregiver psychoeducation may be provided. Therapy can be especially useful during phase of life transitions or periods of loss such as retirement, medical illness, or separation.
