Establishing care and scheduling appointment:

Clients are invited to patient portal to enter essential demographic information and enter insurance identification and credit card information so that the office may verify provide an estimate of benefit eligibility. Symptom survey screens and acknowlegement of privacy and payment policy is required prior to appointment.

Initial Evaluation: 60-90 minutes

An initial evaluation entails a comprehensive review of current concerns, medical history and review of medications in addition to social and family history. Brief cognitive testing may be performed. Accurate medications, psychiatric and medical history may entail communication with prior providers and collaboration of care. Family or caregivers are welcome to provide input and participate in consultation with client’s permission. 

Discussion of diagnosis and treatment options (including medication) would follow. When indicated, and with patient's consent, care planning may be coordinated with other treatment providers and family or other support.

Follow-up appointments for continued care: 30-50 minutes

Typically sessions provide supportive psychotherapy and/or management of medications. Supportive therapy can be especially useful during transitions or periods of loss such as retirement, medical illness, separation or grief. Psychoeducation, ongoing clinical assessment of symptom improvement, medication side effects, new life stressors and medical history are addressed.

Private pay rates for appointments are time based and cost $325.00 per hour, prorated. Payment for treatment is expected at the time of appointment and cancellations under 48 hour notice are charged a $100.00 fee.
